Ethical DentistryDentistry is changing, and there is a vast array of treatments available. Sometimes it can be difficult, as a patient, to know what it is you need.
We believe it is important not to feel pressured into expensive treatments. There are often a number of different choices of treatment available and we take time to listen to your wishes and expectations. We make sure to explain what can be achieved, what the treatment involves and what the outcome will be. Our profession is dentistry, not sales, and though we can provide a complete range of dental services from preventative sealants to ‘smile makeovers’, you will not be bombarded with offers to make you look ’10 years younger’.
We have a practice complaints procedure in accordance with the General Dental Council and welcome any feedback.
We fully comply with Care Quality Commission regulations and have put in place numerous policies and protocols in order to ensure your safety. Audits are routinely performed looking at a number of different areas including patient satisfaction surveys and improvements are put in place where needed.
Our cross infection procedures aim for best practice and are tested and audited to maintain the highest standards. Where possible disposable sterile items are used. All our instruments are hand cleaned before entering a washer disinfector for 45 minutes. They are then inspected and if clean are then sterilized. If you would like a member of the team to show you these ‘behind the scenes’ cross infection techniques then please do ask.
We handle your personal information including dental and medical records which great care and we have a comprehensive information governance system. If you would like a copy of our Information Governance statement then please ask a member of staff.
